I’ve been so caught up in creating—pouring my heart into my art and hoping it brings people joy—that I never really stopped to think about what my presence on social media might actually mean to others. I’ve always just hoped that my work could brighten someone’s day, but recently, I’ve come to realize that my art and my words have been making an impact in ways I never expected. That there are people out there who look up to me, who find inspiration in what I do. And that’s both incredibly humbling and a little overwhelming.
The truth is, I’m just like you. I don’t have it all figured out. What I share—the colour, the creativity, the joy—isn’t a reflection of perfection. It’s the way I keep going. It’s how I quiet my own struggles, how I fill my life with something meaningful. I paint, I garden, I create—not because life is always easy, but because these things help me navigate the hard moments.
We all have battles, and we all have a choice in how we face them. I choose to meet mine with paint on my hands, dirt under my nails, and a heart full of colour. If my presence here has made you feel even a little more inspired, a little more seen, then I am beyond grateful. But please, never put anyone on a pedestal—especially not someone you see on social media. We are all just humans, stumbling, learning, trying our best.
So if today feels heavy, I hope you find something—anything—that fills you up and brings you back to yourself. Because even the smallest light can start to chase the darkness away. And no matter where you are in your journey, please know this: you are never alone.
